Understanding Your Internet Speed Test Results
An Internet Speed Test evaluates the full last-mile capacity between your device and our test server. By saturating your connection using parallel TCP streams, it overcomes slow-start bottlenecks and reveals whether your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is delivering the bandwidth promised in your plan.

Frequently Asked Questions About Internet Speed Tests
What factors may impact my Speedtest result?
Devices (phones, tablets, PCs) have different Wi-Fi antennas and MIMO stream capabilities. Testing over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi instead of 5 GHz / 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6E or Ethernet can reduce measured speeds. Always close background downloads or VPN tunnels before testing.
What does changing between Multi and Single connection mode do? Multi-connection mode opens parallel HTTP flows to saturate high-capacity Fiber and 5G connections. Single-connection mode tests throughput over a single TCP stream, which closely mirrors downloading a single file from a browser or streaming through a VPN.
